Aliens invade Lewes for community project

Aliens have invaded the town of Lewes and the challenge is now on to locate all 48 of them before March 1.

Machines Are Taking Over The Universe (MATOTU) is a brand new trading game and app concept by illustrator Malcolm Trollope-Davis.

He has numbered the characters from the game one to 48 and placed all over the town as a fun community project and said: ‘The challenge is that local children and parents locate them and jot down the random number.”

The aliens are in shop windows all around the town, though Malcom suggests teaming up with friends as finding all 48 may prove to be a bit too challenging.

Malcolm said: “If no one finds them all, the people who find the most will be entered into a draw to win a remote controlled drone.”

MATOTU has been a project Malcolm has been developing for more than 15 years. Each alien started life as a pencil illustration and he is still not finished yet.

He said: ‘The future for MATOTU is to keep growing and creating new ways to entertain people with new games, stories, videos and music all based around the MATOTU universe.”
