AN ALERT to be prepared for more heavy rain across East Sussex today (Monday June 11) has been issued by the Met Office.
After flooding affected homes and roads across the South East overnight, the forecasters said: “Rain, heavy at times will persist well into Monday, before gradually easing away westwards during the afternoon.
“Further thundery downpours are possible in the South East later.
“The public should be prepared for surface water flooding and localised river flooding, as well as very difficult driving conditions.”
