Armed robbery at Telscombe Texaco Garage

AN ARMED robber threatened a petrol station worker with scissors in the early hours of this morning (Monday December 13) in Telscombe Cliffs.

He left the Texaco Garage in South Coast Road with 200 cigarettes and a small amount of money.

Sussex Police have launched an appeal for information following the armed robbery.

Officers were called at 4.35am after the man entered the garage and threatened a male member of staff with a pair of scissors.

The member of staff, who was uninjured, handed over the cigarettes and money.

The robber escaped on foot towards the back of the garage.

He was wearing a white hoodie with a blue emblem on the chest.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crime or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area.
