A POLICE investigation into an armed robbery at a Texaco garage in Telscombe has been closed after the suspect died.
The 25-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of carrying out the robbery last year died in Christmas Eve.
Sussex Police said the circumstances surrounding his death were not suspicious.
A police spokesman said: “There will be no further investigation. It has been closed.”
A robber threatened a petrol station worker with scissors in the early hours of Monday December 13 in Telscombe Cliffs.
He left the Texaco Garage in South Coast Road with 200 cigarettes and a small amount of money.
