Arson suspected after car stolen and torched in Seaford

POLICE are investigating after a car was stolen and set on fire in Seaford last night (Wednesday March 16).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to a report of a vehicle on fire in Firle Road at around 10.30pm.

Firefighters discovered the airbags had been released and said they suspected arson.

At 11.13pm, the owner of the aqua green Daewoo 1.6 reported their vehicle stolen from The Peverels in Seaford at some time in the past hour.

Sussex Police are appealing for anyone who saw the car in the area at any time between 10pm and 10.30pm to call them on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 1744 of 16/03.
