Artists at Lewes Gallery raise money for charity

Artists at The Chalk Gallery, in North Street, Lewes, have already raised more than £700 for The Peace Project, a charity in which creative people around the world take action for peace.

There is still just time to enter your bid in the silent auction for one of Jo Ansell’s stunning sculptures, ‘Nu’.

Jo has generously donated her work so all proceeds will go to The Peace Project. Bids will close today (Friday) at 4pm.

They can be made in person at The Chalk Gallery, where ‘Nu’ is exhibited, via email to chalk.gallery@btinternet.com or by telephone on 01273 474477. For further details visit www.chalkgallerylewes.co.uk

The sculpture will go to the highest bidder at 4pm today.

Chalk is an artist-led gallery of established, professional Sussex artists. The diverse and talented group works to a consistently high standard in a variety of media and techniques featuring paintings, prints, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery and cards.

With a completely new exhibition every six weeks, and a different featured artist every three weeks, there is always something new and exciting to see.

Chalk is a friendly gallery run by the artists themselves; so there’s always someone there to give you a warm welcome. It is open Monday to Sunday, 10am-5pm.
