THE ASHDOWN Forest’s famous Hebridean sheep have now moved home. They have been relocated from the Golf Course to Jumpers Town where the nearest car parks are Wren’s Warren and Pooh.
The exact location is remote and not easy to access but full details are on the Forest’s website (www.ashdownforest.org) now. Conservators say there are warning signs in car parks and on as many paths as possible leading towards the sheep enclosure.
The sheep are behind electric fencing and electricity will be on at all times. People are asked to put all dogs on leads if they approach the flock. This follows a dog attack which saw one of the sheep horrifically injured.
