Author’s talk on latest novel

HISTORICAL fiction writer Gabrielle Kimm will be signing copies of her latest novels ‘His Last Duchess’ and ‘The Courtesan’s Lover’ at Littlehampton Library next month.

The West Sussex-based author will present her talk at 7pm during Wednesday March 14 on the books, set in the Italian renaissance, on how women have tried to survive throughout history with almost no power.

‘His Last Duchess’ is the story of Lucrezia de’ Medici, heiress to one of Italy’s most powerful families, who died in mysterious circumstances after only three years of marriage.

Meanwhile ‘The Courtesan’s Lover’ continues the story of Francesca Felizzi, a successful courtesan in Naples, who tries to reinvent herself as a respectable woman after discovering love for the first time.

Tickets for the event cost just £3 and are available at Littlehampton Library on Maltravers Road, Littlehampton, BN17 5NA.
