Birling Gap has been listed as one of the best places for wintry walks by The National Trust.
If you visit Birling Gap over the winter period look out for winter visiting birds, peregrines and fulmars.
There are photo opportunities of sea birds, wildlife and winter seascapes all along the Seven Sisters and in particular from the viewing platform next to the cafe.
Nick Walford, Birling Gap ranger, said: “There is nothing like wearing off the Christmas excesses with a walk on the downs – there is always something great to see.
“I particularly like watching the fulmars swoop past me along the cliff edge.”
You can also visit the refurbished cafe.
Countryside and coast open daily dawn until dusk. Café and shop open 10am-4pm between December 26 and January 8.
