Wealden District Council said it has reopened Birling Gap steps following completion of demolition work at one of the coastal cottages.
The council said it had re-opened the stairs at Birling Gap to allow access to the beach.
It said the steps to the beach are in good condition and the shingle beach is starting to return. The risk of cliff falls remains and additional warning signs have been posted. A spokesman said: “We are advising anyone who accesses the beach that they do so at their own risk. They should be aware of the risk of rock falls and stay away from the foot of the cliffs as well as the cliff edge. We reserve the right to close the steps and remove access to the beach at any time if the state of the cliff or weather conditions require it.”
