A charity Blues Night held in Herstmonceux raised £3,500 in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The sell-out event was attended by 120 people and held at the village hall. They were treated to a foot-tapping evening of music and dance featuring Blues Brothers Little Brother, a 15-piece tribute band from Kent.

The evening also included a three-course meal, with all proceeds from the ticket sales going to the charity.

Organised by the Heathfield and Horam Group of Friends for Cancer Research UK, the fundraising evening has become an annual event since an inaugural concert was held in 2006 at the former Hidden Spring Vineyard when it was owned by Sue Mosey and her husband Graham.

Sue Mosey, who now lives in Vines Cross, said: “It was a fantastic evening and everyone had a really good time. Tickets sold out very quickly and once again I’m hugely grateful to everyone who came along and made the event such a success.”
