Boy punched in the face at Crowborough Carnival

POLICE HAVE APPEALED for witnesses after a boy was punched in the face at Crowborough Carnival.

The incident happened in the fairground on Erdige Road at 9pm on September 10.

The victim was with friends when he was approached by another teenage boy and punched in the face.

He suffered a one inch split to his eyebrow but refused to attend hospital for treatment.

PC Andrew Gardiner, from Crowborough Neighbourhood Response Team, said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a young boy out enjoying the carnival with his friends.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the attack or has information on the suspect.”

The suspect is described as white, in his mid teens, 5ft 5in tall with short dark hair. He wore jeans and a zip-up hooded top.
