Popular Lewes Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band will be playing Newhaven Fish Festival this year, as the town celebrates its fishing heritage.
The annual event will take place on Saturday June 8 from 9am to 3pm on the West Quay.
It is now in its tenth year and regularly draws in crowds of between 3,000 and 4,000 visitors.
There will be a chance for people to buy locally sourced fish and shellfish, cookery demonstrations and the famous Dieppe Market.
Organiser Sally Foote from Newhaven Community Development Association said: “It’s a celebration of the fishing industry in Newhaven.
“It’s about celebrating the good things in Newhaven and about promoting locally sourced food.”
The day will also include the Children’s Parade, which will be leaving Denton Island at 11am.
There will be a jazz band, children’s dance display, Punch and Judy and Brillo the Clown.
A sports day will be staged, featuring traditional sports day events, such as egg and spoon and sack races.
There will also be community stalls at the event, with various town groups promoting their activities.
Newhaven Lifeboat will be open to visitors on the day.
