The air ambulance landed at Hailsham Recreation Ground this lunch time (Tuesday July 28).
The helicopter was called out to the town shortly after 12.30pm.
Emergency services had been called to a ‘medical incident’ in an address in Terminus Place.
A 26-year-old woman was discovered injured at the property.
The air ambulance landed on the recreation ground but the woman was driven by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Sussex Police were also called to the scene.
However a spokesperson for the force said the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
