Cash and other items were stolen during a burglary in Fletching on Thursday (August 20).

The house, on the village High Street, was entered between 6.20pm and 10.30pm that night. Marks on the front door of the house suggest that a crowbar, or similar tool, was used to break in.

Detective Constable Richie Davidson, said: “The time-frame for this burglary is quite specific, so I would ask anyone who was in the High Street, Fletching, or was driving through or near to the village during those times, to report any suspicious behaviour or vehicles they may have seen.”

Anyone with information is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 1614 of 20/08. Alternatively, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
