Police are seeking information about a burglary at a craft jewellery shop in Lewes.

Buglars broke into the Sussex Guild shop in Southover High Street overnight on October 27-28.

They smashed open display cabinets and took 28 items of valuable locally-designed jewellery, as well as £63 cash from a safe.

PC Anna Batchelor said, “If you saw any suspicious activity in the area that night or if you have been offered jewellery since, please let us know.

“Contact us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 394 of 28/10. You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
