She is an independent PR consultant who provides cross-sector business-to-business public relations consultancy for companies across the UK and Europe.
She loves the flexibility self-employment brings and the opportunity to work with a variety of different clients.
Self-employment also meant that when her children were growing up she never had to miss a sports day or Christmas concert.
Louis Clark, spokesman for the 15 for 2015 competition, said: “Michele is an inspiration to people considering taking the plunge into self-employment. Having been successful in this sector for so long, she is a fantastic example of how to effectively go it alone and has shown how to achieve a work/life balance that suits her and her family. We wish her the best of luck.”
Michele has more than 25 years’ experience in public relations. She became a consultant in 1992 after six years at leading international PR agency GCI London.
Since then, she has worked non-stop on a blue-chip client list, implementing PR campaigns for large corporates as well as three man start-ups.
Michele works from her home office in Lewes and personally manages all her clients on a day-to-day basis so that clients benefit from her experience and expertise without the overheads of traditional agency costs.
She said: “I deliver cost-effective PR programmes which make a difference to your business objectives – whether to raise brand awareness, increase sales, grow the business, champion an issue or influence change.”
