Businessman scoops two prizes in Peacehaven and District Chamber of Commerce Business Awards

His passion and vision in developing his gardening services won a Peacehaven man Business Person of the Year and Business of the year.

Simon Studd, owner of Clean Cut Gardening Services, scooped the top pair of accolades at the Peacehaven & District Chamber of Commerce Business Awards at a ceremony at Telscombe Civic Centre.

The awards, voted for by members of the Chamber, how he had developed his business to the point where he plans to franchise the Clean Cut brand throughout the UK.

Simon said: “I’m really delighted and very happy to have been recognised in this way.

“The awards are made even more special for me because they are voted for by my fellow Chamber members.

“I would urge any business that isn’t a member of a Chamber of Commerce to join.

“The help, advice and assistance I’ve received during the period I’ve been preparing to franchise my business has been invaluable and I couldn’t have got this far without the help of the Chamber of Commerce.”

Awards of Merit went to: Mark Derrick, Chris Bray and Gary Maskell in the Business Person of the Year Category and in the Business of the Year category, Awards of Merit were presented to: Jarlands Estates, Northstar Technology Ltd, Advice4Business and Studio Crafts.

The Chris Ogden Memorial award, presented by chairman Gary Maskell, went to Phil Howson for his outstanding contribution to the Peacehaven & District Chamber of Commerce.
