A BUXTED fashion show and luncheon delivered double benefits to its elegant audience last weekend.
A group of ladies who do much more than lunch helped raise more than £1,650 for Macmillan Cancer Support and obtained a vital early season preview of what they need to be adding to their wardrobes this year.
They enjoyed a summer fashion show at the Buxted Park Hotel showcasing clothes and accessories from Darcey Boutiques in Lewes and Heathfield.
Modelling the linens, cottons and silks were staff from both shops provind the topical layered look is not just the preserve of size eight teenagers.
Guests first enjoyed browsing through a variety of fashion-linked stalls before sitting down to a three course lunch accompanied by music played by the Buxted Park Hotel pianist.
Everyone received a goodie bag containing cosmetics and information about the clothes on show.
Many generous donations were received for the raffle.
Afterwards, visitors enjoyed sitting on the hotel terrace and soaking up the sunshine.
It was a perfect day and raised £1650 for the Macmillan Charity.
