Carol concert tonight in Seaford

SEAFORD Mayor Bob Allen shows no signs of slowing down in promoting his home town as he approaches the festive season.

Together with his wife Jill, they are hosting a traditional carol concert tonight (Tuesday December 21) at Seaford Baptist Church in Belgrave Road from 7.30pm.

Bob has attended remembrance services, performances from the Seaford School of Dancing and the Seaford Little Theatre in November, amongst many other functions.

Bob and Jill will attend youth council meetings, awards evenings, carol services and other celebrations of Christmas to represent Seaford Town Council before they see in the New Year.

The mayor is also a town and district councillor, as well as volunteering at the National Coastwatch Institution once a week.

This is one of the charities he is supporting in his mayoral year, along with the Seaford Citizens Advice Bureau.

Bob said: “It has been an interesting year so far.

“It has given me the opportunity to meet many people and organisations and thank them on behalf of the town for the work they do in making Seaford such a vibrant place to live.”

Jill added: “Bob’s duties as mayor have given me a wonderful opportunity to see aspects of the town that I wouldn’t usually see and meet many of the people who work so hard to keep voluntary organisations running.”
