Cat protection Spring fayre in Hailsham

Have your say

Eastbourne Cats Protection is promising an afternoon of fun and entertainment for all at their Adoption Centre in Marshfoot Lane, Hailsham from 12pm to 3pm on May 14.

Books, toys, crafts, homemade cakes, bric-a-brac and Cats Protection merchandise will be on sale at the annual Spring Fayre to raise funds for Cats Protection Eastbourne’s Hailsham Adoption Centre. Other diversions on offer include a wind machine, tombola, raffle draw and, of course, a chance to see all their beautiful cats.

Entrance is 50p (or a tin of cat food!) All money raised from the event goes directly towards the creation of a new maternity unit within the centre.

The Mayor of Hailsham, Cllr Robin Kempe, on his last official engagement as Mayor, will open the event at 12pm.

More than £1,000 was raised for Eastbourne Cats Protection Adoption Centre at last year’s Spring Fayre and event organisers hope that next Saturday’s total will exceed this amount.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to the fayre next weekend. As a popular fixture in the Hailsham events calendar, it promises to be fun for all ages and we hope that everyone will have a good time!” said Mandy Clarke, manager of the Adoption Centre.

“We need a constant supply of cat products and any other items to sell for future fundraising events - help from the public would be much appreciated. Please contact us at the Adoption Centre if you need more information.”
