A NEW era has dawned for an historic Lewes pub after a massive facelift.
The Black Horse, in Western Road, reopened last week to wide acclaim.
A five-week programme of complete refurbishment of the interior has seen the original two bars merged into one.
The “tired” facilities have taken on a new lease of life.
Those there to celebrate the relaunch (above) included Lewes MP Norman Baker and the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Ruth O’Keeffe.
Delighted landlord John Connolly said: “I’m overwhelmed by the transformation, Trade has been absolutely fabulous – I couldn’t have wished for a better weekend.”
