Drama, a climbing wall, music and lunch all featured when a group of 16 Children of Chernobyl visited Seaford Head School last Friday (June 14).

The children went to the school with Sheila Nash, of the Friends of Chernobyl’s Children (Mid-Sussex) charity, and interpreters Ira and Sergie.

John Owen, then President of the Rotary Club of Seaford, initiated this activity in 2010, and this was the fourth time the school hosted the children, who are aged between eight and 12.

Among the activities, the children climbed on the school’s climbing wall, had a light-hearted drama session, a musical experience, and lunch, all helped by a select group of Seaford Head students.
