Citizenship Awards in Lewes recognise community contributions

The Rotary Club of Lewes has presented Citizenship Awards to some public-spirited and selfless local residents.

They were: Toby Franks for his contribution to the ONESIE fundraisers at Ringmer Community College; Ruben Greyson for his contribution to the Student Council at Ringmer Community College; Jacob Oyarzabel for his tireless contribution to Ringmer Community College and for supporting others; Robin Holmes, a student at Priory School, for her work as a member of the East Sussex Youth Cabinet); Maya Savran-Velazquez who does voluntary work at the Leisure Centre each week; Diana Hope who supports the local Scouts in her role as District Secretary; Geoff Isted for help to the local Scouts and district events for 23 years; Thomas Moran for his work on Sussex Downs College’s Lewes Students Union team. The awards ceremony was arranged by Rotarian Ken Bridger on behalf of the Community Service Committee of Lewes Rotary Club. The recipients and their sponsors are pictured with club President the Rev Marcus Brown.
