A special reception at 10 Downing Street saw two local “community champions” receive thanks from the Prime Minister.

John Pritchett, chairman of Willingdon and Jevington Parish Council and Willingdon Residents’ Association, and Peter Nash, chairman of the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital, met David Cameron, with Conservative Caroline Ansell.

“We were thanked personally by Prime Minister, for all the positive work we do in our local communities,” said John.

Peter said, “I was very flattered and honoured to receive an invitation to the reception for “community champions”. It is a tribute to the very hard work and dedication of all that work for and support the Friends.”
