Lewes MP Norman Baker has welcomed news that the rural areas of his constituency will soon have access to superfast broadband.
The recent report from East Sussex County Council shows that the proposed timetable will see existing exchanges in the area upgraded, with work beginning by 2015 at the latest.
Mr Baker said: “I am glad to see the county council is finally getting round to rolling out high speed broadband across the area. The lack of high speed internet access in rural locations is an issue that many constituents have raised with me. It has got to a point where it is restricting businesses and leaving residents out of the loop.”
