WEATHER during the public holidays is still difficult to forecast but the weekend is going to be cooler with the possibility of drizzly rain or showers.
Ian Michaelwaite of www.netweather.tv said: “The warm temperatures of the past few days will slowly drop as we head to the weekend, accompanied by the chance of heavy localised showers, possibly some thunder as well today (Wednesday) and tomorrow afternoon.
“As the four day weekend arrives it’s a very different picture to last week, with temperatures peaking in the mid teens on Saturday, and similar on Sunday.
“It will be mainly dry, though some thicker cloud on Sunday could lead to drizzly rain and showers, but it shouldn’t be too heavy or long lasting.
“The public holidays could go either way, as pressure systems around the UK battle for control.”
