The closure of London Bridge railway station has led to major disruption on Southern services this afternoon (March 7).

Passengers using the Brighton Mainline were urged to use services from London Victoria this afternoon, as no trains were running from London Bridge.

However the station reopened just before 4pm.

A Southern spokesman said: “London Bridge station has now reopened. However, services are subject to delay, alteration and possible cancellation as we restore services to normal.

“Tickets are being accepted on London Underground, London Buses, Thameslink and Southeastern are also accepting our tickets via any reasonable route.”

The Metropolitan Police had sealed off the area around London Bridge station this afternoon, but said the incident was found ‘not to be suspicious’.
