Red Bridge House, a residential project near Crowborough, is shortlisted for The Structural Awards 2014. The international Awards, held annually by The Institution of Structural Engineers, celebrate excellence and innovation in structural engineering.

Red Bridge House, engineered by Lyons O’Neill Ltd, is set in a remote area of ancient woodland covering 20 hectares of untouched, undulating terrain. The design creates a bespoke three-storey residential structure worthy of its unique setting and features exposed elements including steelwork and precast concrete. Judges said: “Elegant design and detailing combine to give this daringly-conceived project a remarkably light, open feeling.”
