Willingdon/Polegate Windmill’s Bread Day Competitions, where entrants are asked to bake at home and enter on the day, will be held on September 14.
Entries must be delivered to the mill at Park Croft, Willingdon, between 9am and 10am in time for the judging by master baker Lee Smith. The various classes for entry are described on the entry form and organisers said the recipe for the Class III Victoria Sponge on the entry form must be strictly adhered to. The entry fee for all classes is 50p each. Entry forms are available from the windmill or contact the organiser on 01323 734496.The mill will be open for visits from 2pm until 5pm. Prize giving will be at 4pm and any entries not required by the entrant will be on sale.
