An outline planning application for up to 110 new homes in Ringmer will be considered on Wednesday, July 16.
The Gleeson Developments scheme, which includes affordable housing, access and public open space, is for 4.4 hectares of land north of Bishops Lane.
Ringmer Parish Council has recommended refusal and there have been 65 neighbour objections. These include that the density is too high, the village does not have enough community facilities to cope with additional residents, increased traffic and an adverse effect on wildlife.
A decision will be made by members of Lewes District Council’s Planning Applications Committee.
