The new seafront cycle path was officially opened on Sunday April 13. Cllr Carolyn Lambert said: “Congratulations are due to Cycle Seahaven who have campaigned hard for this shared space and I hope that many more people will join this excellent voluntary organisation.” There was free advice from Mr Cycles and Wave Leisure static bikes.
Phil Manning from Sustrans attaching a blender full of frozen berries and fruit juice to the smoothie bike, which allowed people to make their own delicious smoothies.
The shared use cycle path will be trialled for six months.
A decision will then be made about continuing the scheme after consultation with the public.
