A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a collision between three vehicles on the A27 eastbound at Falmer on Sunday May 18.

The biker, 21 from Portslade, was travelling between slow moving lines of traffic on the dual carriageway when the collision took place.

Sussex Police were called to the scene at 12.43pm.

The motorcyclist, who was riding a 125cc bike, suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Police said the A27 was temporarily closed in both directions to allow the Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance to land at the scene.

The biker was eventually taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton by land ambulance for treatment.
