A boxing gym which was running out of Newlands School in Seaford is appealing for help with finding a new home in Hailsham.
Seaford and Newlands ABC set up at the school about two years ago but has been forced to find a new home now that the school is closing.
Adam Rose and Dave Selby, who run the club, both live in Hailsham and are hoping to set up closer to home.
Members travel from around East Sussex to visit the gym.
It is run by volunteers and aims to help keep young people out of trouble by giving them positive goals and confidence.
Adam said they would struggle to afford to rent premises such as a hall to set up the equipment, which includes a boxing ring. He explained even a barn would be perfect, as long as the equipment could be left there permanently.
Around 30 people visit the gym each week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, including both juniors and adults.
Adam, who is a coach at the club, said: “We have worked so hard to get it up and running.
“We just do it for the love of boxing.
“It is so hard to find somewhere.”
Their last day at the private school, which is just off Eastbourne Road, was Wednesday July 9, but they were told they would have to quit the school about three weeks ago.
The school confirmed it would close at the end of the summer term this week.
