Busy weekend for Artwave Bishopstone venue

Artwave at Driftwood

Artwave at Driftwood

The first weekend of the 21st annual Artwave Festival got off to an unbelievable start at the garden of Driftwood, Bishopstone, with the artists being called to replenish their stock so much had been sold.

On Saturday, usually the quietest day of the festival for Geoff Stonebanks and Mark Glassman, 178 visitors bought more than £3,100 worth of art on sale in just one day.

Sixteen artists sold a further £1,100 of their work on Sunday and £100 on Monday.
