A woman’s arm was broken when her car went into a ditch after she lost control of her vehicle.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said a lorry overtook the car on a wet road, causing excess water spray this morning (Wednesday August 6) at 6.54am.
The driver then lost control of her vehicle and ended up in a ditch on the side of A27 westbound.
Fortunately, the woman was not seriously hurt and was assisted to safety by East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
Lewes crew manager Chris Beadley said: “The female driver was extremely fortunate to have escaped with minor injuries, although she did sustain a broken arm.
“In wet conditions, roads can be extra slippy, especially after a dry spell, so please do be extra careful when driving.”
