A nursery in Hellingly is celebrating after being rated good in its latest Ofsted report.
The Bunny Run Childcare Centre in The Drive was inspected last year when officers said children make good progress in all areas, and develop a strong sense of security because of the caring and skilful support of staff.
The nursery was rated good for the way it meets the needs of the children who attend and the effectiveness of the staff management. The nursery was also rated outstanding for the contribution the early years provision has towards the well being of children.
The report said ‘staff provide children with a good range of activities which are fun, interesting, challenging and often thought provoking. As a result, children progress well in all areas of their learning and development’.
Inspectors praised staff for keeping parents well informed and said parents highly value the service they receive. The report said: “The arrangements to include parents in their children’s learning are very effective.”
Inspectors found children are able to develop reading, writing and creative skills and make use of the outside environment to promote children’s knowledge of the natural world. The report said children’s behaviour and social skills were ‘exceptionally good’
Inspectors concluded that ‘all children thrive in the caring, thriving and very happy environment’.
