A Hailsham business has launched its annual competition to find and recognise builders, electricians, and handymen who keep the town’s homes in top condition.
Screwfix has launched the competition nationally which will see tradesmen battle it out against other regions to be crowned winner and carry the title of Top Tradesman. The winner will also get a new £28,000 Toyota van (OTR) with all the gadgets and livery they need.
Last year, Tom Ball, a joiner from Cheshire, walked away with the crown after fighting off stiff competition from thousands of entrants.
He said it has had an ‘amazing impact’ on his business.
The Britain’s Top Tradesman Award is given to those who can prove they excel in their business.
It could be you have started your own company, have taken a course to upgrade your skillset or completed a complex job for someone.
If you think you have what it takes to be crowned winner you have until September 14 to enter the competition.
John Mewett, marketing director at Screwfix, said: “We run this competition to reward quality tradesmen and to celebrate their success. The regional rounds of BTT enable people working in the trade to meet up, share ideas and tell us about what’s happening on the ground. It’s the fifth year we have run this competition, and the calibre of entries improves every year. We are looking forward to meeting and rewarding those tradesmen who go that extra mile.”
Regional finalists go head to head in October. The national final will be in November.
To enter you can go into the Screwfix store in Hailsham, or go to screwfix.com/btt.
