Eastbourne author Francis Wait’s new book ‘Without Their Consent’ has been banned by online retailer Amazon.
It has reportedly been banned based on some of the supposed sexually explicit language in the book.
Wait, who recently won the Anderida Writers Annual Short Story competition, is unrepentant, however.
“It is an erotic crime thriller,” he said.
A great part of the book is about crime rather than sex.
He believes that time will prove him right and says he wrote in the erotic scenes as a way to let readers know the necessary details about the crime.
He did acknowledge that they do add spice to the story.
The book has been well received by fans of Wait, who have said it is well written and deserves its place on the site.
He is encouraging feedback on the book from readers via his website: www.franciswait.com.
For followers of his genre the book is available on www.smashwords.com.
From there it is distributed to various other websites such as Sony, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Diesel, Flipkart, Oyster and Scribd.
The price for the book is approximately £2.50. Wait also wrote the Survivalists - Book 1, Getting There.
