A yellow warning of the potential for dense fog has been issued by the Met Office across East Sussex from just after midnight to midday tomorrow (Tuesday January 21).
Forecasters said patchy fog will form in places through this evening, perhaps becoming more widespread overnight and into Tuesday morning.
They said fog patches will affect some areas as early as Monday evening.
There is potential for fog to become more widespread overnight and into Tuesday morning. Some places within the warning area will not see fog, but where it forms it could be locally dense with visibility falling below 200 metres.
The fog may be slow to clear on Tuesday in some places, especially across the east.
The public should be aware of the potential for difficult driving conditions and some travel disruption, they said.
