Freedom Leisure, in partnership with Wealden District Council, is offering free MyRide indoor cycling classes to celebrate the Tour of Britain’s visit to Hailsham on September 13.
Everyone is welcome to the Freedom Leisure Tent at Hailsham Precinct with its indoor cycle ride.
Freedom Leisure hopes people will help fundraise as they have fun in the saddle by inviting an optional £1 donation for the class to raise money for a new defibrillator at the Hailsham town hall.
“We’re really excited to offer free MyRide classes and hope to raise money for a new defibrillator. The event promises to be a lot of fun and everyone is welcome to come along, join in and celebrate the Tour coming to town,” said Freedom Leisure centre manager Dominic Horner.
“It is a great way of celebrating the Tour of Britain’s visit to Wealden,” said Helen Markwick, Wealden District Council’s Community and Regeneration Team Manager. “As well as the Cuckoo Trail and Forest Way, we have miles of scenic cycling roads in the district. We hope this Freedom Leisure initiative encourages more people to take the pedal power route to health and fitness.”
The classes will run from 10am until 2pm.
