Police in Seaford are appealing to local people for help after reports of a prowler in the Avondale Road area.

At about 10.20pm on Thursday August 21 a resident of Avondale Court disturbed a man trying to look in through a partly opened window.

He also pressed his face against other windows, trying to look in.

The man is described as aged 18 to 25, white and of slim build.

Sergeant Stuart Mullins, of Seaford Police, said: “So far we have only had one report and this might be an isolated incident.

“We don’t know whether this is just somebody messing about or whether it is more sinister.

“However, we do take this sort of report very seriously and would like to hear from anyone who may know the man concerned or who has seen anybody acting suspiciously in the area.”

Sgt Mullins urged anyone with information to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1652 of 21/8.

They can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers free and anonymously on 0800 555 111.
