Help wanted to add names to Lewes War Memorial

Lewes War Memorial

Lewes War Memorial

Petitions can now be found throughout Lewes calling for missing names to be added to the town’s war memorial.

Research indicates about 20 individuals have been omitted and Jack Neil has been busy distributing petitions for residents to sign.

Those who want to show their support can sign the petitions at most of the town’s pubs, the library, Station Bookshop, Barbican Carpets, Martins newsagents or the Riverside Cafe.

To make a donation use the When Skies Were Always Blue bank account at the Lewes Barclays, sort code 20-49-76, account number 03592340 reference Monument 21 or leave a cheque made out to When Skies Were Always Blue and marked Monument 21 on the back at the Town Hall for cllr Ruth O’Keefe.
