Plans to develop a 23-acre site at South Chailey will be the subject of community consultation events today (Friday) and tomorrow.
Iceni Asset Management and Iceni Projects are consulting on proposals to rejuvenate the former Lloyds Environmental site at Old Hamsey Brickworks, Bevernbridge, to create 50 new homes and 1,300sqm of business floor space.
The events are taking place at Chailey Parish Hall, adjacent to The Five Bells on the A259, today from 4pm-8pm and tomorrow from 10am-1pm.
Iceni, a London-based planning and develoment consultancy, said the events are for the local community and interested parties. In a letter to local residents, the company said: “We are actively seeking your input on the scheme to give you the opportunity to influence the proposals and to enable you to offer your opinions on them.”
Elsewhere, the South Downs National Park Authority will consider a planning application to demolish the existing dwelling at The Apple House, Ranscombe Lane, Glynde, and replace it with a new one.
Lewes District Council has received an application for planning approval and Listed Building Consent for internal alterations and single-storey extensions to Newick Park.
