Lewes Youth Bank offers grants

Lewes news

Lewes news

Young people who want to make Lewes a better place can get a helping hand financially.

If you are aged between 11 and 19 and have a great idea then apply to Lewes Town Council Youth Grants Scheme.

It makes small grants to improve things to do and places to go in the town.

Organisers are particularly interested in hearing about ideas that help young people achieve something new or support the local community.

Last year grants were awarded for things like new sports equipment, an arts and drama workshop and a cinema club.

Sums of between £200 and £800 will be awarded but you will need a supporting club or youth organisation to back your idea.

For details and an application form email tracyunstedtys@eastsussex.gov.uk. Applications can be made between May 19 and June 30.
