The Mayor of Peacehaven Robert Robertson will mark Meridian Day on Thursday June 26 with a short service performed by the Bishop of Lewes, the Rt. Rev. Richard Jackson, at the Peacehaven Monument in Horsham Avenue at 10.30am.
Visitors are welcome to attend the event which is expected to last around half an hour.
The CTLA bus will transport residents up from the Information Office at the Meridian Centre at 10.15am, for those who are unable to walk to the venue. The Peacehaven Monument marks the start of the Meridian line in the UK.
During August the mayor has been invited to visit the Royal Observatory to learn more about the history.
