A motorcyclist and his passenger were taken to hospital on Monday (May 5) after colliding with a car.
The air ambulance attended the scene after the incident on the A259 Marsh Road between Little Common and Pevensey at 3.19pm.
The male motorcyclist, aged 44, who was riding a black Harley Davidson Night Rod motorbike, was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting by air ambulance with head and abdomen injuries. The female passenger, aged 55, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with lower and upper leg injuries.
Police said the driver of the car involved, a brown Vauxhall Meriva, a 73-year-old man from Bexhill, was unhurt.
The A259 was closed to traffic between Little Common and Pevensey while emergency services dealt with the incident, and did not fully reopen until 6.40pm, police said.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
