She was selected by academy sponsor United Learning and the local governing body of Seahaven Academy.
Mrs Pringle said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been chosen as the new principal of Seahaven Academy.
“I feel very fortunate to be joining a school which is so clearly determined to continue to build on its current success with the added support of now being part of United Learning.
“New challenges in such positive circumstances indicate that exciting times are ahead.”
Seahaven Academy, formerly Tideway School, joined United Learning on April 1.

“With 14 years’ experience in senior leadership positions, Sarah is ideally placed to build upon Seahaven’s existing strengths and we are very pleased to have appointed her as its principal.”
Chair of the Seahaven Academy local governing body Stuart Ford said: “In appointing Sarah, we have chosen someone with the drive, ambition and infectious enthusiasm to head our school.
“We look forward to her starting in September and wish Rob Corbett every success in his new school.”
