A consultation into improvements for pedestrians, cyclists and bus users along the A259 from Peacehaven to Newhaven and for cyclists in Newhaven town closed on December 23.
East Sussex County Council said the next stage would be to present the results of the public consultation to the lead member for transport and environment in February.
It will include recommendations about which proposals should be taken forward for design and construction.
Improvements include new and upgraded pedestrian crossings along the A259 in Peacehaven, improved bus stops along the A259 and new cycling facilities in Newhaven.
Another proposal is a shared pedestrian/cycleway along part of the existing footpath on the A259 between Peacehaven and Newhaven and a new bicycle ramp on the steps to Tideway School.
