Police appeal after £2,000 of fishing equipment stolen in Seaford

Fishing equipment worth almost £2,000 was stolen from a shed in Seaford.

Sussex Police are appealing for information following the burglary which took place between 5.30pm on Thursday (March 13) and 5.15pm on Friday (March 14).

The padlock of a shed in Ringmer Road was forced open and a large quantity of carp and sea fishing equipment was taken.

This included three Shimano rods and reels as well as other carp fishing equipment including Delkim bait alarms.

Also stolen were two Daiwa Sandstorm sea fishing rods as well as two Abu Ambassadeur reels, seats, landing nets and tackle boxes.

The total value of the items taken is thought to have been about £1,800.

Sergeant Stuart Mullins said: “We’re keen to speak to anyone who might have seen or heard people interfering with the shed or getting inside it.

“We’d also like to speak to anyone who is offered the chance to buy any of the stolen equipment.”
